Dear Editor: In response to recent letters to the editor relaying misinformation on mining, the Natural Resource Development Association would like to offer the facts.
Wisconsin can have both a stronger economy and a clean environment as a result of modern mining practices and sensible regulation. A typical mine can create 300 family-sustaining jobs, with a wide range of industries that serve mining and the surrounding community benefiting from the economic activity and growth.
