[Madison, Wis.] – Today, the Natural Resource Development Association released the following statement regarding the passage of Assembly Bill (AB) 499 – the Mining for America Act:
“We wish to thank members of the Wisconsin State Senate for voting in favor of AB 499. This landmark legislation supports sound environmental policies and encourages responsible economic development throughout the badger state – we applaud Sen. Tiffany for his leadership on this issue in the Senate,” said Nathan Conrad, Executive Director of the Natural Resource Development Association. “The Natural Resource Development Association looks forward to Governor Walker signing this bill and bringing robust economic growth to Northern Wisconsin and all across the state while keeping our beautiful landscape pristine.”
Today, November 7, 2017, AB 499 – the Mining for America Act – passed the Wisconsin State Senate on a vote of 19 – 14.
